Scheduled Maintenance

Your boat lift operates in a harsh marine environment. Regular maintenance ensures safety, reliability, and longevity.

Mandatory Service Reminder

Your controller tracks usage cycles and will automatically notify you when mandatory professional service is due.

Atlantis Control System: Every 250 cycles or quarterly, whichever comes first

Qualified technician must inspect electrical systems, controller, and sensors

Lift Structure & Mechanical: Follow your lift manufacturer's schedule (typically every 3 months)

Includes cables, pulleys, motors, gears, and structural components

  • A qualified service technician must inspect critical safety systems and perform required maintenance
  • Notification is sent via Atlantis Control App when service milestone is reached
  • Regular professional service ensures safety, reliability, and optimal performance

Monthly Inspections

User-Friendly - Quick visual checks you can perform yourself

  • Visual inspection of lift structure and components for obvious damage
  • Check control box exterior for damage, water intrusion, or corrosion (do not open box)
  • Verify lift operates normally (up/down movement)
  • Check RGB indicator patterns for normal operation (STM32 lift LED and ESP32 wireless LED)
  • Test emergency stop functionality (turn key OFF during movement - primary method)
  • Listen for unusual sounds during operation

Quarterly Inspections

Professional Service Recommended - Requires qualified technician

⚠️ DEADLY VOLTAGE WARNING

Electrical work may expose you to potentially lethal 120VAC/240VAC voltages. Only qualified technicians should perform these inspections.

  • Visual inspection of all electrical connections for corrosion, looseness, or damage
  • Verify voltage levels using system diagnostics
  • Check AUX outputs operation if connected to loads
  • Verify all limit switch operations and positions
  • Test Auto Mode functionality if equipped
  • Check APS sensor mounting and alignment (if equipped)
  • Inspect control box interior for water intrusion or corrosion
  • Verify grounding connections are secure
  • Inspect mechanical hardware including motor mounts, cable connections, and lift structure integrity
  • Torque check accessible connections

Annual Inspections

Licensed Electrician Required

⚠️ DEADLY VOLTAGE WARNING

Annual inspections involve potentially lethal 120VAC/240VAC voltages. Only trained professional licensed electricians should perform electrical inspections.

  • Torque check all power connections per manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect and test all safety systems including key detection
  • Verify transformer operation and connections
  • Check fuse integrity and replace if needed
  • Test complete system operation including all presets and functions
  • Update system firmware if new versions available

When to Call for Professional Service

Contact a qualified technician immediately if you notice:

  • System voltage consistently below safe operating levels
  • Persistent diagnostic error codes that cannot be cleared
  • Unusual relay operation or burnt contact smell
  • Water intrusion in control box
  • Any electrical connection showing signs of overheating
  • Communication failures that persist after power cycling
  • Physical damage to control board or enclosure

Schedule Your Service

Don't wait for a failure. Preventative maintenance is far more cost-effective than emergency repairs.

Key Points:

  • 250 cycles or quarterly service interval (automatic notification)
  • Monthly user-friendly visual checks
  • Quarterly professional service
  • Annual licensed electrician inspection
