Getting Started with Your Atlantis Lift

Welcome to effortless boat lift control. This guide will have you up and running in minutes.

What You'll Need

Atlantis Control app installed
WiFi network credentials
Bluetooth enabled on phone
5-10 minutes of your time
Atlantis Control App

Get the Atlantis Control App

Download the Atlantis Control app to monitor and adjust your boat lift from anywhere.

Always keep lift in line of sight and never walk away from a moving lift. Know your emergency stop location: Key (if equipped) or breaker.

⚠️ Critical Safety Information

1

ALWAYS keep your lift in line of sight

Never operate your lift if you cannot see it clearly

2

NEVER walk away from a moving lift

Stay within immediate reach of your controls at all times during operation

EMERGENCY STOP: Key or Breaker

Know where your emergency stop is located and how to use it before first operation. If your system has a key, that is the emergency stop. If your system does not have a key, the breaker is the emergency stop.

Failure to follow these safety guidelines can result in serious injury or death. These rules apply whether using the app, remote, or physical controls. Please read the full Terms of Use.

Setup Steps

1

Power Up Your System

Your installer should have connected power to your Atlantis controller. Let's verify everything is working:

Check the main RGB LED

Should show solid green or teal when ready

Listen for startup melody

A 5-note welcome sequence confirms the system is powered on

Wireless LED should flash blue

This means the system is ready to pair with your phone

Blue light not flashing?

Cycle the breaker for 30 seconds or hold the App Config button for 10 seconds

2

Connect to WiFi

Use the Atlantis Control app to connect your lift to your wireless network:

  1. 1.Open the Atlantis Control app on your phone
  2. 2.Tap the 3-dot menu (⋯) in the top right
  3. 3.Select "Add New Device""Find Devices"
  4. 4.Choose your controller from the list
  5. 5.Select your WiFi network and enter the password
  6. 6.Set your location and lift name

Your First Operation

✓ First: Verify Your Mode

Before pressing any buttons, verify your system mode to avoid unexpected behavior:

  • Check the mode indicator in the app
  • Check the physical auto mode switch position (if equipped)
  • Important: The app can override the physical switch setting
  • To double-check: Flip the physical switch to cycle the mode, then flip it back to your desired position - this ensures the mode is correctly set

In manual mode, you must continuously hold the button - the lift only moves while you're pressing:

Raising the Lift

Press and continuously hold the UP button in the app. The lift will rise smoothly with the LED blinking blue. The lift moves only while you're holding the button - release it and the lift stops immediately. Always watch the lift while it moves.

Lowering the Lift

Press and continuously hold the DOWN button in the app. The lift will descend smoothly into the water. The lift moves only while you're holding the button - release it and the lift stops immediately. Always watch the lift while it moves.

Important Notes

  • In manual mode, the lift only moves while you hold the button - release to stop instantly
  • Auto mode (tap once for hands-free movement to presets or limits) requires an auto mode switch enabled by your dealer plus limit switches or APS sensors
  • Always keep lift in line of sight and never walk away from a moving lift
  • Emergency stop location: Key (if equipped) or breaker

Set Up Presets (Optional - Requires APS)

If your system has the Atlantis Position Sensor (APS) installed by your dealer, you can save favorite positions for one-tap access:

P1

Preset 1

Typically used for loading position - convenient height for boarding and loading

P2

Preset 2

Great for working height - hull just above water for cleaning and maintenance

Note: Presets require the Atlantis Position Sensor (APS) hardware to be installed and enabled by your dealer. If your system doesn't have APS, you can still control your lift manually using the UP and DOWN buttons. Contact your dealer if you'd like to add APS to enable automatic presets and position tracking.

Understanding Your System

Manual Mode vs Auto Mode

Manual Mode (Standard)

  • Included with all systems - no additional hardware needed
  • You must continuously hold the UP or DOWN button
  • Lift moves only while you're pressing the button
  • Release the button and the lift stops immediately
  • Full control - you decide exactly when to stop

Auto Mode (Optional)

REQUIRES DEALER INSTALLATION

  • Requires auto mode switch enabled by your dealer
  • Requires limit switches or APS sensors (see below)
  • Tap once - no need to hold the button
  • Lift moves hands-free to preset position or limit
  • Automatically stops at programmed positions

⚠️ Always Check Your Mode Before Operating

Before pressing any buttons, verify your system mode to avoid unexpected behavior:

  • • Check the mode indicator in the app
  • • Check the physical auto mode switch position (if equipped)
  • Important: The app can override the physical switch setting
  • To double-check: Flip the physical switch to cycle the mode, then flip it back to your desired position - this ensures the mode is correctly set
  • • Mode mismatch can cause unexpected behavior - always confirm before pressing UP or DOWN

Position Sensing: Limit Switches vs APS

Limit Switches

  • Basic safety switches - prevent over-travel
  • Stop lift at top and bottom only
  • Enable auto mode to full up/down positions
  • No position tracking between limits
  • No custom preset positions
  • No position display in app

Best for: Basic installations, budget-conscious users, simple up/down operation with optional cloud connectivity

Atlantis Position Sensor (APS)

PREMIUM UPGRADE - Contact Dealer

  • Advanced cable-based position tracking
  • Knows exact lift position at all times
  • Enable auto mode to any position
  • Save custom presets (e.g., cleaning height)
  • Real-time position display in app
  • Move to preset with one-tap operation

Best for: Premium experience, multiple preset positions, precise control, position tracking

💡 Want to upgrade? Contact your dealer to add auto mode capability or upgrade from limit switches to APS. These features can be added to any Atlantis system at any time.
